Q: What Is It...? A: All lesson content of a guitar tuition website "Guitar Tutor Online" |
Guitar Tutor Online CD-ROM is the content of www.guitartutoronline.com
Guitar Tutor Online (CD-Rom) has over 150 individual lessons. (Listing Below).
The content here would take an average learner about 6 - 12 months to finish. That's around $480 - $960 in weekly private lessons. If you bought books to learn the same information you would pay around $40 - $50 and still wouldn't have the extra features that only a CD-ROM can offer, like:

Spiel: Many a late night can be spent searching for guitar websites & tuition software, and there are a plethora of sites that promise to have you playing like a pro in less than 15 minutes. While Guitar Tutor Online makes no false promises like this, it will have you playing like a pro if you’re willing to stick to it like a pro. Guitar Tutor Online & Guitar Tutor CD-ROM offers structured lessons for the beginner and intermediate players, and is supported by clear visuals and samples, setting it apart from the common "put you fingers here, strum these 3 chords, now your a pro" hyped sites and software.

Q: Can I learn these lessons using an electric or acoustic guitar?
A: These
lesson are guitar non specific. When you learn the guitar you have to
get the basics out of the way (notes, chords, rhythm), either electric
or acoustic is fine.
Q: What age group are these lesson meant for?
A: From about 9 years and up. The lessons are meant to be self teaching so
anyone younger than 9 would be best to get their Mum and Dad to help them.
Q: Do I have to be a computer wiz to work the lessons
A: No! Naturally. The CD-ROM is
a complication of all finished lessons from Danny Poole's Guitar Tutor
Online, so if you can browse the Internet then you can work the CD-ROM.
Q: Can the lessons be taught to a left hander?
A: There are two ways diagrams can be shown for the left hander, upright (good for left and right) and in complete reverse (left handed). When developing the site I considered upright but this was impractical for diagrams showing the whole fretboard. The diagrams on the site, CD-ROM & download version are all right handed illustrated. I have many left handed lessons and I find there is a minimal difference in learning time on right to left handed diagrams. Unfortunately we live in a right handed dominated guitar playing world so It doesn't hurt to easily understand right handed diagrams. P.S. - I am also a left hander (playing right handed but!)
Q: Will this work on a Macintosh system
A: The CD is the content of Guitar Tutor Online, the site is built on html pages incorporating Flash Animation, Mp3 Audio and images. While it has not been tested on a Mac, needless to say if you can surf the web with you Mac then you can use the cd rom. (this is not a guarantee)
